I’ve been friends with this girl ever since early freshman year, it’s almost the end of sophomore year for us now. I’ve been noticing that lately she’s been saying rather mean-spirited things to me.
“You walk like a retarded dinosaur.” -this was at Prom about a week ago, it was my first time in heels.
“You look weird without glasses” -when I was talking about getting contacts.
“I think you should get this” she was helping me pick out make-up. She lead me away from the brand that I like and went over to 1.a company that tests on animals. 2. it was a company she didn’t even know anything about. she was even hinting at the fact that she wanted what I was planning on getting, and then went to ask her dad for more money.
“But you would be SO stressed” -i was talking about getting into cheer again and trying out for color guard.
“I don’t think you could pull that off…” -i was showing her a pic of the style of bangs I want.
“but I heard they stick out awkwardly in hair” I was talking about buying some bumpits for prom.
she keeps showing me these pictures and saying “this would look so cute on you!” when I told her I’m not cutting my hair that short.
“I need to go with you shopping for back-to-school and make-up at the mall because I actually know what to get”- she emphasized the “I”
“you should use revlon, conair sucks…” -she held up my hair she had just been messing with and pointed out my split ends….(I haven’t had it cut in two years, of course there’s split ends!)
“you should let me do your hair and make-up…” after yanking at my hair, knotting it up, and criticizing me on how I do my hair (again)
“You would look weird tan”
“Well, if you had a voice” after I said I wanted to be a cheerleader again

I’m sorry this is so long, but I need to figure this out before I transfer to my new school next year…
Ok, she slightly overweight, I’m underweight. We both wear glasses. Her grades are really bad, I believe I have 2 B’s and the rest are A’s. When I do my hair and make-up people notice me more than her. When she does her hair and make-up people look at her funny. Her Dad wouldn’t let her get heels like mine. She’s not athletic at all, while I am slightly. Her hair is super short, she can’t style it, and people at school say it looks greasy. She’s super pale, while I’m slightly tanned.
My questions are:
Does it seem that she’s jealous of me?
What can I do to confront her and make her stop without making her cry?

shes definitely jealous if shes pointing out all the things you have that she doesnt.
