I brought a coach bag some months back and took it to my aunt’s place .My aunt after seeing it brought 6 bags of her own and every time we talk she is always like “i brought coach gloves,coach shoes,coach bags,d&g glasses”.It irritates me a lot.She also annoys me by always commenting on anything new i do to myself like a hair colour or losing weight ,wearing new clothes etc.She talks as though she is Miss know it all.It annoys me a lot.Am i overreacting?I hate to be bothered when somebody brags about what they have or do.I personally feel that one should not brag and others should know things by themselves or let them know if they ask.I feel whenever my aunt talks about how she spends her money and which brand she buys,it is extremely cheesy.Am i jealous or overreacting?I do feel irritated .How do i change my attitude?

I know how you feel. As I was reading your question, it made me think of a certain someone that I work with. She walks around like she’s a super model and we all work for a fashion magazine. She finds the need to check out what everyone is wearing as if she buys their wardrobe and has to approve of it.

Your aunt sounds very immature and materialistic. If you don’t want to hear her comments, don’t stop by. You don’t want to tell her to keep her comments to herself because it’ll only make you look like you’re conceited and don’t know how to take compliments. She may be complimenting you when she sees you wearing/carrying something new but she’s going about it in the wrong way.
